Aurora Aksnes, born June 15 1997 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase as AURORA is a Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, released in May 2015 by Decca Records to great approval from music journalists and media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are among the artist's high-profile recordings. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. This brought her some recognition. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of finding an instrument in her attic and becoming enthralled by the sound it could create. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music not to get a job or a hobby and as a way to improve. Her parents encouraged her to compose. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her most favored composers. The singer decided to perform her songs publicly when her mom suggested they might help others not gain acclaim for her music, but rather to help those around them see their importance and the ways they impact the world. Her mother suggested that she perform her songs publicly to help people realize the importance of their work and how they can affect the world. It was unknown by her family until she was fourteen. There was no way she could have imagined to be Aurora. Aurora says she loves writing music. She claims that music is her preferred method of feeling something.
